(Proverbs 16:25) There is a way that seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.
There are time where we must make decisions. That is part of life. However, who do we lean to when making our decisions? Divine help or self? As a Christian, I strive to lean on God, but unfortunately I do not do it all the time. And, without fail, the times that I lean on self are the times I make the biggest blunders. No wonder the Bible has stated the dangers of leaning on self, with the outcome being rather detrimental. The writer Ellen G. White has this to say:
“Ignorance is no excuse for error or sin, when there is every opportunity to know the will of God. A man is traveling and comes to a place where there are several roads and a guideboard indicating where each one leads. If he disregards the guideboard, and takes whichever road seems to him to be right, he may be ever so sincere, but will in all probability find himself on the wrong road.” [Ellen G. White; The Great Controversy; pg 597, 598]
So let us strive to lean on God for the various decisions that we are to make each and everyday. Blessings to all.
