(Psalm 19:7-11) The law of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple. The statutes of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart: the commandment of the LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes. The fear of the LORD is clean, enduring for ever: the judgments of the LORD are true and righteous altogether. More to be desired are they than gold, yea, than much fine gold: sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb. Moreover by them is thy servant warned: and in keeping of them there is great reward.
Growing up in church I was taught this Psalm in song. Of course it has stuck with me up to this time. A powerful reminder of the perfection of God’s Law and the importance of it to us as human beings. The following is a quote from Ellen G. White concerning this:
Without the law, men have no just conception of the purity and holiness of God or of their own guilt and uncleanness. They have no true conviction of sin and feel no need of repentance. Not seeing their lost condition as violators of God’s law, they do not realize their need of the atoning blood of Christ. The hope of salvation is accepted without a radical change of heart or reformation of life. Thus superficial conversions abound, and multitudes are joined to the church who have never been united to Christ. [Great Controversy; pg 468]
So let us strive to follow God’s Law, always keeping in mind that we have help from our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ in doing such. I leave you guys with the song for your enjoyment
